HELLO!

I just got back from my live concert tour of Japan. I played in Nagoya, Osaka, and two shows in Tokyo. I had an incredible, fantastic, and wonderful time!!! I played just about everything from "King of Clubs", a few Mr. Big tunes, and a few surprises. My live band was Scot Coogan (drums), Mike Szuter (guitar and keyboards), Tony Spinner (guitar), and Kelly Lemieux (bass). Everybody sang. Also, my wife Patricia played drums on a song for the encore. She rocked! It was extremely fun to play and sing my songs live and I would like to send out a HUGE thank you to everybody who attended the shows!!!

There is a very good chance that I will be coming to Europe in May to do my rock and roll version of guitar clinics. I will be singing and playing songs from "King of Clubs" as well as unusual surprise cover tunes. Ibanez and Laney will be sponsoring the tour. I will send out specific tour dates when I get them. Hopefully, I will be continuing on into the U.S. also!

The release date of "King of Clubs" in the U.S. and Europe should be April 21. Please send me an e-mail and let me know what you think of the album!

Thanks again for all the great e-mails, letters, and support! You are a great inspiration to me! I hope to see you in your town soon!

Sincerely, Paul

Dear Mr. Big Bug,

Thanks for doing a great job on your web site! Here is some new information for you:

My solo album "King of Clubs" will be released in Japan on November 27th and the CD single for the song "Vinyl" will be released on November 25th. The CD single features two extra tracks that do not appear on the album. The album features one bonus track for Japan called "I Do". The album has 12 other songs including a guitar jam that lasts over 19 minutes! This "Jam" features me with my old Racer X bandmates Bruce Boulliet (guitar), John Alderete (bass), and Jeff Martin (drums). The rest of the songs range from heavy melodic pop to big giant heavy guitar riffs. I am singing lead vocals on all the songs except for two instrumentals ("The Jam" and a Bach piano piece that I played on guitar called "The Jig").

I am now putting a band together to do live concerts of my solo material. I hope to come to Japan early next year and play for everybody!

I hope you like the record! And thanks again for your hard work on the web page!!!

Sincerely, Paul Gilbert
